Tenneco Automotive's RANCHO® Suspension Products Expand 2WD Suspension System Line

November 2, 1999

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 2, 1999 - RANCHO® Suspension, recognized as an industry leader in four-wheel-drive (4WD) suspension technology for more than four decades, is expanding its two-wheel-drive (2WD) suspension lift coverage to complement its 4WD system line. The new coverage includes suspension systems to lift late model full-size Ford, Chevy/GMC and Dodge pickups.

RANCHO 2WD suspension systems offer the look and rugged appeal of a lifted 4WD truck without the related expense - providing increased ride height and the ability to run larger wheel and tire combinations. Like RANCHO's 4WD suspension systems, the 2WD suspension line is engineered to provide superior ride and handling. The new RANCHO design utilizes a heavy-duty, one-piece subframe, specially tuned springs and CNC-machined spindles in the front and riser blocks in the rear to lift the truck four inches.

RANCHO's new 2WD suspension systems feature heavy-duty construction with precision MIG welding throughout. All steel parts are coated with either RANCHO red powder coating or plating for long service life. Both RANCHO's new self-adjusting premium RSX and five-speed adjustable RS9000 high-performance shocks are available for use with the new 2WD systems.
