The average internal combustion engine has between 200 and 300 parts that all need to work together to give your car its get-up-and-go. Without them, an automobile would just be a pushcart. That’s where Tenneco’s Powertrain business group excels, led by Davide Girelli.
As Executive Vice President and President of Powertrain since early 2023, Davide oversees the manufacturing of pistons, piston rings, cylinder liners, bearings, valves, valve seats and guides, sealing, gaskets, heat shields, and ignition parts.
Davide’s former roles were with well-known publicly traded companies, including ITT, Trelleborg, FiatAvio and BorgWarner, where he spent 12 years, most recently as President and General Manager of Morse Systems. Prior to this role, Davide held positions of increasing responsibility with BorgWarner, including President and General Manager of Fuel Injection Systems; VP and GM of Turbo Systems Europe and South America; and VP and GM of Europe and Asia for Morse Systems.
Davide earned a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Rome La Sapienza and an MBA from the University of Turin.
